Poetry week

All this week, children across the school from Nursery all the way to year 6 have been taken part in a poetry week.

The children were introduced to poems such as 'Teacher, Teacher' by Roger Stevens and 'Life doesn't frighten me at all' by Maya Angelou and then had loads of fun creating their own based on these poems.

The week worked towards the children visiting different classes across the school to perform their poem and culminated in a live performance from children during our end of week celebration assembly.

All the poems performed during the assembly will now be added to our 'POETREE' display so the children can read any of the poems when they fancy.
