Year 4 Electricity workshop
BackYear 4 had a fantastic and engaging experience during their electricity workshop today. The session began with an exploration of renewable and non-renewable energy sources, where the children gained a deeper understanding of how electricity is generated and its impact on the environment.
The hands-on activities were a highlight of the workshop. The children experimented with creating different types of circuits, including those with bulbs and switches, which helped them to understand how electrical components work together. Adding to the excitement, some of the children even got to become part of a human circuit, which brought the concepts to life in a fun and interactive way.
To conclude the workshop, the class moved outdoors to harness the power of the sun. Using solar panels, they successfully generated electricity right in the playground, experiencing firsthand how renewable energy can be used to create power.
The children demonstrated excellent listening skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the day. Well done, Year 4—you should be proud of your hard work and curiosity!
