World Book Day 2025

Where was your Wally at World Book day?

This world book day the whole of the FES community got dressed up as characters from 'Where's Wally' which resulted in a whole school photo creating a sea of red and white Wallys.

Throughout the day we did lots of different reading activities and competitions linked to reading.

Children across the school created a 'story in jar' and there were some incredible entries.

The teachers also got invloved with some mystery 'masked readers'. Each day of the week leading up to World book day, the children were shown a video of a masked teacher reading one of their favoruite stories with the grand reveal during our World book day celebration assembly.

Our antics even made it into the local paper!
