Remembrance day

This morning we have joined together to remember and give thanks to those people who have served the country since the First World War.

Pupils in KS2 joined the British Legion and The National Literacy Trust for a live assembly, hearing about experiences of service personnel, learning about the Armed Forces memorial at the National Arboretum and hearing about why it is important to remember.

The children in KS1 and Reception came together in the hall to learn about Remembrance Day and to observe the 2 minutes silence at 11 o'clock. The children did a brilliant job at listening and were really respectful during the silence. Well done to all of them.
