Handwriting

Over the last few weeks, we have been focusing on improving our handwriting at Flamstead End. We have gone back to basics and reminded all the children how to hold their pens properly and recapped correct letter formation. As soon as we say BBC or TNT (your children will explain these to you!) the children know what we mean and immediately improve their writing posture!

We're aiming for all children to be proud of their writing in their books, as well as finished 'published' pieces. We hope that when their letter formation and joining becomes really natural to them, it will free the children to fully focus on their content and they'll be able to produce even higher quality writing!

From Reception to Y6, it has already had a great impact - we're looking forward to seeing the great work the children produce over the next few weeks!
